To remain consistently successful, strong partners are crucial. eCAPITAL has an excellent, extensive network which includes many partnerships, alliances and cooperations.
The strategic partnership with KfW (reconstruction loan corporation) puts eCAPITAL into an excellent position. KfW-Mittelstandsbank (KfW Bank for small and medium-sized enterprises) does not often cooperate with German VC companies as a fund investor. In this case, KfW is a cornerstone investor both in Fund I as well as in Fund II of eCAPITAL AG. Several years before the founding, eCAPITAL had already been associated with tbg, which was incorporated into KfW upon its founding.
Additionally, eCAPITAL and NRW.Bank have a close collaboration which deepened with the founding of the Gründerfonds (seed fund) Bielefeld-Ostwestfalen. Due to its seed fund initiative, NRW.Bank is a cornerstone investor with regard to the Gründerfonds, which is managed by eCAPITAL. More information about the Gründerfonds can be found here.
Additionally, eCAPITAL cultivates several alliances with consulting firms, banks and issuing houses, VC partners and M&A agencies. These partners support eCAPITAL in supervising and assisting associated companies. They also help with the so-called deal flow.
Furthermore, eCAPITAL is a member of the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association BVK as well as the European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Invest Europe. We have close and successful co-operations with network organizations such as BAND/BAAR or the HighTech-Gründerfonds. These cooperations offer the opportunity for interesting network contacts, positive synergies and current deal flows.
It is also extremely important that a large number of eCAPITAL's investors are entrepreneurs or former entrepreneurs who are also members of various organizations. Many are also Business Angels. Thus, there is another network at eCAPITAL's disposal, if needed.
